As a Registered Nurse for 25 years, my background includes bedside care, Nurse Manager, and Adjunct Clinical Faculty. During the pandemic of 2020, I experienced one of the most difficult times in both my professional life as an ER nurse as well as my personal life. It was during this period that I found a lack of available psychiatric providers and knew there was a different calling for my life.
